Alpha Micro Ships New Range of SIM Card Holders for GSM and EPOS Applications
Alpha Micro introduces its new range of SIM card readers, which include the AMC-ICA-521, AMC-ICA-567 and the AMC-ICC-313, the smallest interconnect solution for SIM cards on the market. SIM card readers are an integral part of any product that utilises GSM or GPRS technology, in particular new applications in the emerging M2M market such as Electronic Point-Of-Sale (EPOS), security systems and asset tracking amongst others.
The AMC-ICA-521 is a clam shell, eight pin surface mount SIM card connector with a mounting post designed to meet a variety of customer applications. Key features include its low profile package, just 2.3mm high, together with its reliable card detection switch which uses a push and slide locking mechanism with a hinged cover.
The AMC-ICA-567 is a surface mount SIM card connector with a mounting post available with six or eight pins. Its key features include an ultra low profile package at just 2.0mm high, suitable for applications in which room is at a premium. The AMC-ICA-567 incorporates a reliable card detection switch which uses a push and slide locking mechanism with a hinged cover. The insulation material used for both the AMC-ICA-521 and AMC-ICA-567 is black UL 94V-0 thermoplastic, with an operating temperature range from -40°C to + 85°C.
The AMC-ICC-313 is the smallest interconnect solution on the market at just 15.85L x 16.50W x 3.00H mm. Its ultra low profile includes a sealed end travel card detection switch.
