Alpha Micro has been appointed as the sole distributor of u-blox products for the UK and Ireland. The portfolio of products offered will include world leading GPS receiver modules, evaluation boards, GPS chips and the AssistNow A-GPS Services, which significantly enhance the u-blox receiver signal acquisition.

 

Market leader, u-blox specialises in developing technology, products and services for the automotive and mobile communications markets based on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), including GPS and Galileo.

 

u-blox devices can be easily integrated into different end products, offering best-in-class tracking and navigation in weak signal environments such as heavily built up areas or indoor locations. This is possible thanks to the SuperSense Indoor GPS technology developed by u-blox, which allows its GPS receivers to detect the weakest signals as low as 160dBm. This compensation in sensitivity allows the use of smaller antennas and increased flexibility in device location.
