ALPHA MICRO COMPONENTS - STAND NUMBER: 220 EMBEDDED SYSTEMS SHOW BIRMINGHAM – 17th-18th October 2007
17/09/2007 – Alpha Micro (Stand: 220), a leading international distributor of electronic components, will showcase its expanded range of products at this year’s Embedded Systems Show in Birmingham. Its portfolio includes Taoglas antennas, Lantronix embedded networking devices as well as recently added MeshNetics ZigBee modules and u-blox tracking and navigation products.
Alpha Micro specialises in embedded products for the telecoms, datacoms and M2M markets. As en expert in this field, the distributor also designs its own solutions customised to suit customer requirements. The company’s expertise and technical resources reduce time to market and ensure that the most affordable solution is delivered in a timely fashion.
Recent projects realised by Alpha Micro include a GPRS remote IT management solution for Irish Broadband, vehicle tracking for Mileage Management, remote alarm monitoring system for GE Security and a remote monitoring solution of Vianet’s vending machines.
Alpha Micro is now developing its own technology to lower the cost of asset tracking by decreasing the number of unnecessary signals sent to a monitoring centre when the asset is not moving. This new technology is to be tested and introduced to the market before the end of this year.
Christos Papakyriacou, Managing Director, Alpha Micro Components, commented: “The ESS is a key show for the Embedded community in the UK. We deliver solutions including GSM, GPRS, GPS, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and ZigBee technologies and will be available to discuss these at the show to demonstrate the clear benefits of Machine-to-Machine networking.”
