Alpha Micro launches new range of energy harvesting sensors for implementation of self-powered products

“By utilising existing energy to power the wireless devices, energy harvesting removes the need for a physical power source”

The STM 3xx family of wireless energy harvesting sensors developed by EnOcean GmbH and now available from Alpha Micro feature energy harvesting interfaces for the implementation of self-powered products. The minimal standby power consumption makes it especially suitable for energy harvesting wireless solutions such as bi-directional temperature sensors, sensors in building management and innovative actuators.

EnOcean is the originator of patented self-powered wireless technology which gathers energy from kinetic, thermal or solar sources found in any industrial or building complex - the energy generated from the push of a light switch or a difference in temperature emitted from a machine or radiator is enough to power the transmission of wireless signals.
