The MAX-6 family delivers all the benefits of the u-blox 6 GPS platform in a more compact form factor than ever before: high-sensitivity, intelligent power management and seamless operation with u-blox' 2G and 3G wireless module families LEON and LISA.

MAX comes in an ultra-compact, easy-to-mount 9.7mm x 10.1mm LCC package, and supports industrial temperature range.

The MAX-6 module series brings the high performance of the u-blox 6 position engine to the ultra miniature MAX form factor. The MAX GPS receivers provide high performance and a high level of integration capability in a tiny package which measures just 9.7mm x 10.1mm. This makes them perfectly suited for end products with strict size and cost requirements. The DDC (I²C compliant) interface provides connectivity and allows for easy integration with u-blox LEON and LISA wireless modules.

u-blox 6 has been designed with low power consumption and low costs in mind. Intelligent power management is a breakthrough for low-power applications.

Powered by the 50-channel u-blox 6 positioning engine, the module boasts a Time-To-First-Fix of under 1 second. The dedicated acquisition engine, with over 2 million correlators, is capable of massive parallel time/frequency space searches, enabling it to find satellites instantly. Innovative design and technology suppresses jamming sources and mitigates multipath effects, giving u-blox 6 GPS receivers excellent navigation performance even in the most challenging environments.
