FT231X - Single chip USB2.0 to Full Handshake UART interface IC

This USB2.0 Full Speed IC offers a compact bridge to basic UART interfaces, with low power consumption (8mA), and is capable of operating up to 3MBaud. It includes the complete FT-X series feature set, enabling USB to be added into a system design quickly and easily over a UART interface.

The UMFT231XC is a Full speed USB to Full Handshake UART + Battery Charger Detection development module based on the FT231XS. It can be used to verify the USB Dedicated Charging Port (DCP) detection capability of the FT2xxX devices as well as provide a USB to UART bridge.
