Chipi-X10 - USB2.0 to DB9 RS-232 full handshake UART cable

The Chipi-X10 is a USB2.0 to RS-232 DB9 (male) cable with full handshake UART functionality.

The Chipi-X10 is the latest cost effective version of FTDI's USB to RS232 converter cable range. It also serves as an evaluation cable for the FT231X. It utilises the minimum number of components required for a basic USB - RS232 converter designed using the FT231XS.

Chipi-X10 is CE and FCC approved and provides a quick and simple USB - RS232 solution.

Using a standard DB9 connector and powered from the USB port, the Chipi-X converter can be used with FTDI's VCP drivers to provide a COM port on a PC which is capable of communication rates with RS232 devices, from 300 Baud up to 250kBaud. Other drivers can also be downloaded from FTDI's website.

The standard version of the Chipi-X10 is supplied with a sculpted matt white plastic enclosure fitted, which covers the electronics inside. A 10cm USB cable is fitted.

The Chipi-X10 is fully RoHS compliant and is supplied loose packed in an anti-static bag.
