Alpha Micro's AMC-ICA-581 is a surface mount SIM Card Connector
with a mounting post. SIM cards, sometimes referred to as SMART
Cards, are widely used for identifying devices in GSM and Cellular
phone type applications.
Cards are also used for identification of readers/writers and
Point of Sale terminals. These types of Card are sometimes referred
to as SAMs (Secure Application Module) card.
The AMC-ICA-581 device was designed to meet a variety of
customer applications, including fleet tracking, mobile GSM
devices, high speed 3G wireless gateway products.
The AMC-ICA-581 series SIM card holder and draw can also be used
as a replacement for the popular Molex 91228 and 91236
series.
