The Advantech EKI-2528 is a fast Ethernet solution with enhanced
power protection features. The device can be powered from a source
ranging from +12V ~ +48 VDC, which supports a redundant input
design, and is secured with a double protection mechanism:
Power Polarity Reverse Protect and an
Overload Current Resettable Fuse.
The Power Polarity Reverse Protect feature is capable of
withstanding reverse power wiring so that devices will not be
damaged in the event of an incorrect installation, whilst the
resettable fuse secures the system from overload currents and the
device will automatically reset and resume operation as the power
supply returns to its normal state.
Each port of EKI-2528 has 2 LED's to show the link status
transmission speed and collision status. It also provides a relay
output for an event alarm. Should a power failure occur, the
built-in LED will activate the alarm to notify administrators.
Engineers can simply verify the hardware status by checking the
LED, making troubleshooting a simple task.
Both EKI-2528 and EKI-2528I are housed in a compact metal
enclosure that is IP30 rated to help protect from dusty industrial
environments.
