AMY-5M u-blox 5 ROM-based GPS Module

The AMY-5M GPS module features the industry’s smallest form factor and is a fully tested standalone solution that requires no additional components and no host integration. This tiny module measures just 6.5 x 8 x 1.2mm and combines exceptional GPS performance with highly flexible power, design, and serial communication options.

The U-blox AMY-5M module's compact architecture and its very low power consumption makes it ideal for cost sensitive, battery operated mobile devices with space constraints.

The AMY-5M module features u-blox' SuperSense® Indoor GPS technology that offers unmatched tracking performance in harsh signal environments such as car parks, and dense city environments.

The AMY-5M supports a standard Crystal, which provides very fast acquisition and tracking performance at an economical price. Furthermore, 2-layer PCB integration is supported, which brings additional cost savings. Advanced jamming suppression mechanisms and innovative RF architecture ensure maximum performance even in hostile signal environments..

Powered by the 50-channel u-blox 5 positioning engine, the module boasts a Time-To-First-Fix of under 1 second. The dedicated acquisition engine, with over 1 million correlators, is capable of massive parallel time/frequency space searches, enabling it to find satellites instantly. Innovative design and technology suppresses jamming sources and mitigates multipath effects, giving u-blox 5 GPS receivers excellent navigation performance even in the most challenging environments.
