AMC200XT Alpha Micro Embedded GPRS/GSM Modem with Integrated TCP/IP

The Alpha Micro AMC200XT is a feature enhanced GSM and GPRS data modem designed for embedded applications. Whilst supporting the existing GSM radio standard it provides reliable wireless data communications at speeds up to 53.6 kbps on GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) coverage areas, and circuit switched data up to 9600 on the GSM network.

GPRS connections are ideally suited for M2M (Machine to Machine) applications such as POS terminals and monitoring equipment, which send and receive small amounts of data on a regular basis.

The AMC200XT modem, measures just 34mm x 90mm x 5mm and, is a complete "off the shelf" OEM solution running PPP and TCP/IP onboard and controlled by a simple Hayes™ AT command set. It also features an integrated SIM card reader and has the option of either internal or external antenna.  The AMC200XT can also be used as either a slave or host device for use with applications that require Fixed IP support.

The AMC200XT replaces the AMC170XT and AMC190XT modem and is fully compatible with those devices.
