73K324L Teridian Semiconductor's V.22bis Modem Data Pump IC

Teridian Semiconductor's 73K324L is ideal for use in embedded applications where full-duplex 2400 bit/s data communications over the 2-wire switched telephone network is required.

The 73K324L adds V.23 capability to the CCITT modes of Teridian's 73K224 modem device, allowing a single design for both European and North American markets. The 73K324L offers excellent performance and a high level of functional integration in a single IC.

The device also supports V.22bis, V.22 and V.21 modes of operation, allowing both synchronous and asynchronous communications. Test features such as analog loop, digital loop, and remote digital loop-back are supported. Internal pattern generators are also included for self-testing.

The 73K324L is designed to appear to the systems designer as a microprocessor peripheral, and will easily interface with popular microprocessors such as 80C51 for control of modem functions. Here at Alpha Micro we have our own AMC2442CV micro controller available which has been optimised to work with Teridian' 73K-Series modem devices.
