The XPort® and WiPort® range of products will allow any device with an RS232 port to become Network enabled, allowing products to be controlled over an existing network, or remotely over the internet.

XPort® is a family of Serial to Ethernet modules which can be easily integrated into any design which already has an RS232 port. With very little effort OEMs can add full Ethernet connectivity to their products with minimal development time and at a fraction of the time required to develop an in-house solution. The range includes devices which can Web-enable up to three electronic devices, quickly and easily, to provide robust "data center grade" security, including SSL and SSH, for networked devices and offer true IEEE 802.3af compliant pass-through Power over Ethernet (PoE).

WiPort® is a Serial to WiFi (802.11b/g) module that allows you to add wireless networking to any device with an RS232 port. By integrating WiPort®, your products can be wirelessly accessed or controlled over a network or the Internet.

All devices are based on the the Lantronix DSTni chipset and their award winning, extensive TCP/IP  protocols. Both the WiPort® and XPort® also have an embedded Web Server, and configurable email alerts.

Users can also benefit from using Lantronix Virtual Com Port (VCP) software which can mean that your existing software application remains untouched.
